José Carlos Sandoval García
Jose Carlos Sandoval Garcia is a proud immigrant and DACA recipient originally from Zamora Michoacan, Mexico, who has called Chicagoland home since 2001. His journey took him from playing semi-professional soccer in Spain to joining the family business, Chula Vista Imports, upon his return to the US. Although he left college during his senior year, Jose Carlos obtained an associate degree and later pursued a Business Leadership certification from Stanford University. He is actively pursuing a business leadership certification from Harvard Business School Online. As Vice President of Chula Vista Imports, José Carlos has been instrumental in driving consistent annual growth of over 15%. Beyond business, Jose Carlos is deeply involved in his community. He co-coordinated the Iskali young adults community of Queen of All Nations and serves as co-chair of the Iskali Junior Board, as well as a member of the Board of Directors. He actively leads discipleship efforts and the Iskali Service day, demonstrating his commitment to personal growth and community engagement. |
Roxana Rueda
Roxana Rueda Moreno, known as Roxy, is a dynamic individual with a passion for education and faith leadership. Raised in West Ridge, Chicago, Roxy is a teacher's assistant, and works with preschool children. As a youth ministry leader at Iskali, she coordinates Discipleship for 2024, contributes to Iskali's Liturgical Planning team, and serves as a coordinator of the Service Day Committee. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Roxy enjoys reading, painting, and social dancing. Notably, her confirmation saint is Mother Cabrini, reflecting her deep spiritual connection within the Iskali community. |
Ulysses Cárdenas
Ulysses, serves as a co-coordinator for the Discipleship Program, Iskali's next level up from Initiation Retreat, leading young adult Catholics to deepen their faith through events, such as Service Day. He also serves as a guia for the Mother Cabrini Community in Casa Iskali and consistently travels from his distant home in Wauconda, IL. Having lived his Initiation Retreat all the way back in 2016, Ulysses is a committed member of the Iskali community and is a long time veteran. His passion for technology has been of great use wherever he goes and is currently applying to hopefully receive an Accelerated Bachelor's and Master's IT Management degree from Western Governor's University. |
