Our history

Iskali, meaning “to grow, resurgence and a new beginning” in Nahuatl, the language in which Our lady of Guadalupe spoke to Saint Juan Diego. Iskali was founded on June 12, 2010, by Vicente Del Real, a young adult driven by a vision to reach out to young people in his parish. Recognizing the need for ministry directed towards Hispanic youth within the United States, Iskali was established as a response to the challenges of evangelization opportunities for this demographic.
Over the years, Iskali has grown as a vibrant and dynamic movement, inspiring young people to actively participate in the life of the Church and embody the spirit of evangelization. Through their efforts, Iskali continues to contribute to the renewal and revitalization of the Catholic faith among Hispanic youth, nurturing a sense of belonging, empowerment, and spiritual growth. |

Campaign Case

Iskali has grown into a thriving organization, serving hundreds of young adults with a comprehensive approach to faith formation and evangelization. We have relied heavily on a strong volunteer base to run the organization and its programs. As Iskali grows, it has become necessary to bring on more staff, expand our programming and to renovate Casa Iskali as it serves as the main hub for evangelization for the young adult Hispanic ministry.
For these and other reasons we are embarking on a campaign to begin raising funds to make these dreams a reality. |

Bless the young people who are burdened with challenges. Grant them strength in their struggles, hope in their despair, and guidance in their journey. We also humbly seek your blessings upon the generous donors and dedicated supporters of Iskali and its community. May you reward their selflessness and open heart with an abundance of grace and blessings. Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Jude the Apostle, and St. Frances Xavier Cabrini, intercede for these young ones and their companions. Pray for them, protect them, and inspire them on their journey of faith. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. |
